Hollow Grind Side Edges New for 2011-2012 season, EdgeTune Pro. has developed an optional hollow grind feature allowing the skis and snowboard side edge to be ground with a slight radius (hollow) similar to ice skates. Fig 1. shows a standard edge cross section with today's 3° side bevel angle shown (not to scale). Fig 2. shows that same 3° side bevel angle with a new 1½ inch radius EdgeTune Pro hollow grind (not to scale).
